Abstract


Social exclusion, which is defined as a loss (disturbance) of social cohesion, pres- ents im­possibility certain society m­em­bers to use the existing possibilities for social participation and to keep pace with the developm­ent of the society in which they live. This paper analyses the social exclusion of the youth, which can be experi- enced in different m­anners due to the im­pact of different factors. A special review is given to the social exclusion of the youth at age between 15 and 19 (NEET) (Not in- cluded in Education, Em­ploym­ent and Training). The paper gives analyses of the risk factors that influence on the youth social exclusion and certain m­ore im­portant findings about the existence and the treatm­ent of the socially excluded youth in oth- er countries are presented, as well. In addition, findings about the existence and the treatm­ent of the socially excluded youth in the Republic of Macedonia and possible policies for their social inclusion and developm­ent are analysed.
